About Behavior Portal
Behavior Portal was founded by Sergio De Leon, a Child & Family Support Specialist, to support families who want practical, respectful, and evidence-based guidance that works in real life not just in theory.
I bring over 15 years of experience providing in-home support to families with both neurodivergent and neurotypical children. My work takes place where meaningful change actually happens inside family homes, daily routines, schools, and community settings allowing strategies to be realistic, collaborative, and sustainable.
Behavior Portal specializes in supporting high-functioning, complex, and often misunderstood children, with a strong emphasis on parent-mediated, long-term change that carries across home, school, and community life.
Our Approach
My work is informed by behavioral science and evidence-based social development practices, including PEERS, and supported by formal training as an ABA student analyst. Rather than relying on rigid or one-size-fits-all programs, I focus on understanding the function behind behavior and helping parents build skills, systems, and routines that promote independence, emotional regulation, and long-term success.
Simple ideas
Our approach is child-centered, strengths-based, and respectful of neurodiversity. We do not use compliance-based, aversive, or rigid behavior models. Strategies are collaborative, skill-focused, and designed to support autonomy, self-advocacy, and well-being while remaining grounded in data-informed decision making.
Lasting impact
All services are delivered remotely via Zoom, allowing families, homeschool programs, and private or charter schools across the United States to access support without geographic limitations. Services are educational and consultative in nature and are designed to complement not replace existing school, therapeutic, or medical supports.
Behavior Portal exists to bridge the gap between research and real life, helping families move forward with clarity, structure, and confidence.
