Frequently Asked Questions

Who are your services for?

Behavior Portal supports parents and caregivers of children ages 4–18, including both neurodivergent and neurotypical children. We also collaborate with homeschool families, private schools, and charter programs seeking structured, practical behavioral and social development support.

What types of challenges do you help with?

Families often seek support for:

  • Social skills and peer interaction

  • Emotional regulation and flexibility

  • Behavioral challenges at home or school

  • Routines, transitions, and independence

  • Executive functioning and school-related expectations

Is this therapy or clinical treatment?

No. Services are educational and consultative in nature. We do not provide therapy, diagnosis, or clinical treatment, and services do not replace medical, mental health, or school-based special education services.

Do you use ABA?

Our approach is informed by modern behavioral science and evidence-based practices, including PEERS. Strategies are child-centered, strengths-based, and respectful of neurodiversity.

We do not use compliance-based, aversive, or rigid behavior models. Support focuses on skill-building, autonomy, and long-term success in real-life environments.

Is this an official PEERS program?

Yes. Services are provided by a PEERS Certified Provider and follow the official, evidence-based PEERS curriculum developed at UCLA. Program format will be individualized and parent-guided based on family needs and service structure.

How are services delivered?

All services are delivered remotely via Zoom, allowing families and schools across the United States to access support regardless of location. Remote delivery allows for flexible scheduling and real-world application in the child’s natural environment.
